Our First Week Of School Finished!!!

So we made it through our first week of school!!!

We start off our days with a Bible lesson. We are starting with creation. This week we focused on Day 1 and Day 2 of creation.

After Bible 6th grade D does her Saxon Math 76. She did lessons 1-5 and test #1.

She helped me to make rice krispy balls on a stick for our first day of school after school snack!!

We do our Story of The World on M,W and Fridays. Lesson #1 (The Holy Roman Emporer and The Riches of Spain) finished!!!
Then our Exploring Creation through Astronomy on T and Thursdays.

Our Health lesson this week was about cells. We made a cell model out of Jello and candy.

For pre-k we focused on name recognition and the spelling of her name, letter Aa, number 1, triangles, colors and patterns all using an apple theme.

Here she is placing a certain number of apples on the tree.

We made a "snake" with playdough and then shaped it into an Aa.
This printable is from the Letter of the Week Curriculum from Confessions of a Homeschooler.

One day this week I watched a boy from our neighborhood and they used blocks to measure how tall they were.

Another Letter of the Week printable this was a cut and paste sheet.

To finish off the first week of school with a blast we spent the weekend in Ocean City MD with some friends :)
